| A very important time of a concert evening is meeting the audience in the lobby after the concert. This is a time for long-time friends to cross paths with the Singers again and for first-time fans to greet the stars up close. It's a wonderful thing to see the glow in the faces of the newly initiated, or should we say, converted! |

| DECEMBER 8-10, 2000 HOLIDAY CONCERT WITH THE CINCINNATI POPS |

| The December 2000 stop in Cincinnati was a very busy one for the Singers. At night they performed to packed houses in a Holiday Concert with the Cincinnati Pops conducted by Erich Kunzel, but by day they were on stage at the Music Hall laying down tracks for their first album with Telarc "Music of the Beatles", which was released in August 2001. On the day odf this particular session, they spent most of their time on "Let it Be." The orchestra tracks were pre-recorded and were played back through cans (headsets) while the TV monitor showed Maestro Kunzel on videotape conducting the orchestra. |

The Singers most often sing from a manuscript score like this front page of "Let it Be." For most of us, this is not as easy as reading a published score with big notes, but the guys are up to the challenge. |

| Backstage in the props room (converted to a recording studio) listening to the first take with producer Bob Woods. The Singers did a couple of cuts on stage, then came to this room to hear the results. It was early morning and the magic wasn't happening yet. They repeated this cycle three or four times. Steve wanted to do it "one more time to get the whole thing really hot", but Bob said "I've got enough from these cuts to put it together." When you listen to the album, you'll hear he's right! |
