USC CHAMBER CHOIR Charles C. Hirt, Conductor. DJ RECORDS is very pleased to be participating in the distribution of this historic tribute to DR. CHARLES C. HIRT. Charles and his wife, Lucy, have put together a 2 CD album of the highlights of his years with The University of Southern California Chamber Singers and in doing so have created not only a documentation of this influentiual choir but also established a history of chamber music singing and repertoire. There are 47 selections on this double album which range from Vecchi: Fa una canzone, to Brahms: Three Gypsy Songs, to Fissinger: Ave regina caelorum, to Jester Hairston's arr. of In that Great Gittin' Up Mornin'! The album has been financed by the USC Chamber Singers alumni so the entire amount of the sale goes to the ACDA Charles C. Hirt Trust Fund.
